bismillah

Kaththabat qawmu lootin almursaleen(a)

Then people of Lut-AS belied our envoys.

(26:160)

Ith qala lahum akhoohum lootun ala tattaqoon(a)

When their brother Lut-AS said to them: Fear you not?

(26:161)

Innee lakum rasoolun amen(un)

Verily I am unto you a trusted Messenger-AS.

(26:162)

Fa(i)ttaqoo Allaha waateeAAoon(i)

So fear Allah-SWT and obey me.

(26:163)

Wama asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameen(a)

And I ask of you no wage for it, my wage is but with the Rabb-SWT of the worlds.

(26:164)

Atatoona a(l)ththukrana mina alAAalameen(a)

Do you go in, of all creatures, unto the males?

(26:165)

Watatharoona ma khalaqa lakum rabbukum min azwajikum bal antum qawmun AAadoon(a)

And do you leave your spouses your Rabb-SWT has created for you? Aye! You are a people trespassing.

(26:166)

Qaloo lain lam tantahi ya lootu latakoonanna mina almukhrajeen(a)

They said: If you desists not, O Lut-AS! You-AS shall be of those driven forth.

(26:167)

Qala innee liAAamalikum mina alqaleen(a)

He-AS said. Verily I am of those who abhor what you do.

(26:168)

Rabbi najjinee waahlee mimma yaAAmaloon(a)

Rabb-SWT ! Deliver me and my household from what they work.

(26:169)

Fanajjaynahu waahlahu ajmaAAeen(a)

So We-SWT delivered him-AS and his-AS household all.

(26:170)

Illa AAajoozan fee alghabireen(a)

Save an old woman among the lingerers.

(26:171)

Thumma dammarna alakhareen(a)

Thereafter We-SWT annihilated the rest.

(26:172)

Waamtarna AAalayhim mataran fasaa mataru almunthareen(a)

And We-SWT rained on them a rain-ill was the rain on those warned.

(26:173)

Inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineen(a)

Verily in this story is a Sign, yet most of them are not believers.

(26:174)

Wainna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu a(l)rraheem(u)

And verily your-SW Rabb-SWT ! He-SWT is the Mighty, the Merciful.

(26:175)

In The Name of Allah-SWT the Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
SECRETS OF REVELATION:

The People of Prophet Lut-AS also denied him-AS when he-AS stressed upon them to fear Allah-SWT . He-AS told them that he-AS had been raised as a trustworthy Prophet for them. So they must listen to his-AS advice and obey Allah-SWT , for he-AS did not expect any wages from them for his-AS mission. Rather, he-AS expected his-AS reward from Allah-SWT Who is the Sustainer of all the worlds.

Sodomy Is Forbidden

They must ponder over the depravity of having sex with males instead of their wives. They were the only people to practise such an abhorrent act in the whole world. The scholars assert that sodomy is forbidden even with the wife, and the Holy Prophet-SW has accursed such an indulgent. Sexual relationship with the wife is permitted in the natural manner and any unnatural way is forbidden.

His-AS people got annoyed and told him-AS to mind his-AS own business, lest he-AS is banished along with his-AS pious followers to establish his-AS own settlement. He-AS told them that no matter what they did to him-AS, his-AS disgust would endure and he-AS could not possibly compromise with them. Prophet Lut-AS also prayed to Allah-SWT to save him-AS and his-AS followers from the doom that lurked over this perverted society. As a result he-AS and his-AS followers were spared the disaster, except his-AS wife, who had not accepted the faith and had stayed behind with the wretched lot. Their settlement was lifted up and smashed to ground, and also stoned from the heavens. This indeed was an extremely tormenting punishment.

Punishment Of A Sodomite

The Hanfi School of Thought concludes that a sodomite is to be killed by pushing from a height, or by pushing a wall on him.

This story conveys ample warning, yet most of the people remain deprived of faith. Although Allah-SWT is Prevailing over everything, yet it is by His-SWT Mercy that the people avail the given respite.
